Privacy policy

This page describes what this website collects, why, and what happens to it. No marketing spin — just what the site actually does today.

Effective June 2026 · Applies to marketfitalpha.com

Who runs this site

marketfitalpha.com is operated by Earl Red in connection with the book Market Fit Alpha. This is a small author site, not a large platform. There are no user accounts and no checkout on this domain.

What we collect

When you browse the site: Cloudflare (our host) may log standard request data such as IP address, URL, and browser type for security and delivery. We do not load Google Analytics unless you choose Ok Cookies in the cookie dialog. If you accept analytics, Google Analytics 4 may collect pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP, browser/device type, and referral source. Google may set cookies or use similar technologies on your device for that purpose.

When you submit the reader survey: Your answers to the survey questions. If you choose to stay in touch, we also store the email address you provide. Survey submissions are saved in a Cloudflare D1 database.

When you download the Field Kit PDF: We do not require a form to download the PDF itself. If you chose Ok Cookies, analytics may record that a download link was clicked.

Spam protection: The survey uses Google reCAPTCHA v3 to reduce automated submissions. Google may analyze interaction signals and process data according to its own policies.

What we do not collect on purpose: Payment information (purchases happen on Amazon), passwords, or a general contact form on this site.

How we use information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use survey answers for targeted advertising.

Where data is processed

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Survey data is stored in Cloudflare D1. Analytics data is processed by Google. reCAPTCHA is processed by Google. Slack receives a notification when someone submits the survey. Each provider has its own privacy terms:

How long we keep data

Survey responses are kept until they are no longer needed for the purposes above, unless you ask us to delete identifiable information sooner. Your cookie preference is stored in your browser until you clear it or change it (see below). If you accept analytics, retention of analytics data follows Google Analytics settings configured for this property.

Cookies and similar storage

On your first visit, a small dialog asks whether optional analytics cookies are OK. The site works the same either way.

Your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage under the key mfa_cookie_consent (declined or accepted). That preference is not sent to our servers; it only controls whether analytics scripts load on your device.

Survey spam protection: If you submit the reader survey, Google reCAPTCHA v3 runs to reduce bots. That is separate from the analytics choice above. reCAPTCHA may set cookies or use local storage according to Google’s policies.

You can also limit tracking through browser settings, privacy extensions, or Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on.

Changes

If we change how this site handles data, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the site after a change means the updated policy applies.
